"Stella's Apartments" is an apartment-studio complex, built exactly right on the top of the amphitheatrical, fertile valley of Kato Zakros. It is situated at a conspicuous location, overlooking the sea high above the tops of the olive trees, which grow lower at the valley. The sea-shore is 500metres away, quite close for someone to enjoy its scents and glare under the sunlight and far enough to make every "civilized" sound coming from the visitor's cars, fade away.

Outside the Apartments there are over 30 big trees, such as pine-trees, carob trees, horse chestnut ficus trees, arocarias, fig-trees e.t.c. During high noon, they provide those who enjoy swinging on their hammocks with their cool shade. Outside every apartment, there is a wooden canopy and comfortable seats- "rustic"-style- while all the interior and exterior decoration is a hymn to the Cretan tradition. The tiled yard is the beginning of many paths which lead either to the barbecue -at the disposal of every visitor- or to the small Greek- Orthodox church of Agios Nikolaos( Saint Nicolas); or to the rock gardens; or to the open-air "Weight Training" Gym, addressed to those who don't want to lose their fitness during vacations. Moreover, seats, hammocks and areas for daydreaming are available all over the surrounding space.

Inside, the ceiling as well as the furniture are wooden and th decoration is full of elements from the Cretan culture. In the kitchen, one can find all the comforts for preparing a meal. They are also equipped with air-conditioning, communal washing machine, iron, mosquito nets and insect-repellent appliances, shower or bath, 24-hour hot water and THE best tap water (coming straight from Zakros source). Thirty meters away from our apartments we reconstructed five new studios at the great setting of Kato Zakros located right next to our traditional apartments.

In the garden you will find hammocks, swings, barbeques and pleasant coolness for the hot summer days and the romantic summer nights. Each studia has its own veranda with view into our beautiful garden. In the garden you will find sun beds to enjoy the Cretan sun and hammocks under pergolas and trees to enjoy tranquility and peace. In the back yard, according the season you can collect your organic fruits (oranges, loquats, grapes, figs, etc) or you can enjoy some weight training in the outdoor gym. There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, where you can prepare your meal. All studios are equipped with a double bed and a kitchenette with all the necessary items to prepare you breakfast or meal (coffee machine toaster, boiler, little gas stove, electric hot ring, pots, pans, plates, as well as sugar, Greek coffee, Neskafe, filter coffee, tee, salt, pepper, herbs, etc). The water from the tap comes straight from the natural source of Zakros and it is of en excellent quality. All studios are also equipped with mosquito nets, air condition, refrigerator and shower.

Recently the area has developed into a trekking hotspot and "Stella's Apartments" play a very important role in the trekking scenery as there is new routes, the canyons, the caves. There is many othet reasons to visit "Stella's Apartments" apart from its natural beauty.
